Hello! My name is Mr Wilkins, and I am SO excited to be teaching in Year 5 this year in KESTREL CLASS! We also have the lovely Mrs Milledge as our Teaching Assistant this year in the mornings.
Year 5 is one of my favourite year groups to teach, and if you are in my class, then I will do my best to make sure it is one of your favourite years at Goring too!
The learning in Year 5 is fantastic, starting with Space - a ‘deep dive’ into space and our solar system, and we visit the South Downs Planetarium during our first term. We also learn about the ‘Terrible Tudors’, the ‘Ancient Greeks’, the history of Worthing, and also all about our capital city. We even have a trip to London, and we go swimming every Thursday in the Summer Term!
There is a lot to learn in Year 5, and a lot of fun to be had along the way. As long as you always work hard and try your best, we have an awesome year together. See you there!
